Hedonism — Reading for History
A particularly relevant philosophy during the Modern Period, hedonism simply means, “fulfilling your desires.” A hedonist seeks pleasure before anything else, and hedonism reached its height during the Jazz Age (1920’s), after World War I, a time where all the promises of Modernism failed, and Western Culture starting looking inward for fulfillment.
